Rosa Cao Liu Founder of QuickWit Career Hub

Meet Rosa

Hi, I’m Rosa! I am the Founder and CEO of QuickWit Career Hub, and over the past decade, I’ve had the joy of helping hundreds of students, early-career professionals, and young immigrants gain clarity, confidence, and courage in their job search.

At the heart of everything I do is this: helping people break barriers, launch their careers, and succeed with confidence.

My coaching focuses on being authentic and aligned, developing a growth mindset, and building confidence to help young professional immigrants feel welcomed, seen, and heard for who they truly are and what they bring to the table. Through an empathetic, caring, and patient approach, I empower young professional immigrants by enhancing their job-search skills so they can confidently enter the workforce and jump-start successful, fulfilling careers.

When I moved to Canada from Venezuela at 17 years old, all by myself, I was afraid and nervous about leaving everything behind, but also appreciative and optimistic about the great opportunities in Canada. I constantly felt lonely and worried about facing a language barrier, adapting to cultural differences, navigating a different labour market, and dealing with uncertainty, but I was also hopeful and courageous enough to reinvent myself during this transformative journey. Eventually, I proudly earned my BBA in Management and Human Resources from the University of Toronto Scarborough, graduating with high distinction and receiving the Co-op Student of the Year award. This lived experience fueled my mission: to help young professional immigrants using my strong background in corporate HR, HRIS and Analytics, and HR Operations.

With over a decade of work, I blend smart strategies, heart, and knowledge and expertise in Human Resources and technology to empower others on their career journeys.

People describe me as a great listener, patient, caring, reliable, and trustworthy, and as someone who creates a safe, comfortable environment where others can be their true selves and share their concerns without judgment.

I am happily married, live in Toronto, and love eating and cooking Asian and Venezuelan food. When I am not on Zoom calls, you can find me dancing bachata or enjoying watching anime.

I look forward to connecting and working with you!

For more than 21 years, I have worked helping others navigate change, grief, loss, trauma, and personal growth. I have walked through profound loss as a wife and caregiver to my Marine Disabled Veteran with heart failure, kidney failure, and a myriad of other medical issues for well over 17 years. I have encountered obstacles in academia, in business, and in my personal life. Through every challenge, I made a decision to continue moving forward with dignity and gratitude, even when the path ahead has often felt unpredictable.

Rather than avoiding adversity, I continue to trudge through it in real time. My life continually presents obstacles, and I seek opportunities amid them, choosing resilience, adaptation, and personal growth. I understand loss is not something we “get over.” Instead, we can be more intentional and learn how to grow through our loss. These principles are the heart of everything I share with other women who are also experiencing loss.

Originally born in St. Johns, Michigan, raised in Ohio until I was 16 years old, then I moved to Overland Park, Kansas for a time, and now I live in Manhattan, Kansas. I continue to cultivate this work while volunteering at church, leading a Monday night group in my home, developing a new business, and preparing future talks focused on emotional healing and growth.

Through the Grow Through Loss website, books, speaking engagements, and professional platforms, I invite you to learn, heal, and grow along with me. My message is simple: loss may change us, it does not have to define us, it is just a page of our story. I encourage you to find the strength within yourself as you step into adaptive growth in the midst of your own personal loss.
